Campanella Cottage is a property in the picturesque and historic village of Mount Wilson, off the Bell’s Line of Road between Richmond and Lithgow in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia.
Over 100 walnut trees and over 40 chestnut trees grow on the property and visitors can gather their own nuts in the Autumn (mid-March to mid April) for $10/kilo. Green walnuts are available for picking in mid-December.
Visitors must bring and wear appropriate clothing including:
- wet weather gear recommended
- foot wear suitable for the farm paddock
- gloves to handle chestnuts and walnuts.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to the farm if visitors are not wearing appropriate footwear. Climbing or hitting trees is not permitted, no ladders allowed. No picnic facility. Handbags, back packs, and carry bags are to remain in your vehicle.
Buckets are loaned and bags provided.
