  • gloves to handle chestnuts, gloves not provided on site.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to the farm if visitors are not wearing appropriate footwear.

Green Walnuts late this year

Green walnuts have not developed adequately for picking just yet, but should be ready in the week leading up to Christmas.

We will open for green walnut picking on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd December from 9.00 am, and then 26th – 28th December if reachable supply remains.

Gloves should be worn for picking to avoid staining your hands. Hitting, climbing of trees and ladders are not permitted.

After green walnut season, we will not open the farm gate again until March 2019 when the mature nuts begin to fall.
